Dash Update

It's coming on Dec 4th. That means new stuff for us to play about with :)

So far xbox classic games have been announced. That means you can DL old xbox games to your 360. Unlike the arcade they wont have achievements though, which kinda sucks. They cost around 1200 MS points. So far only a few games have been confirmed, can't remember them all but Halo: CE is one of them.

Europe should also be getting the video market place. That means you'll be able to rent films through your 360. Pretty cool, eh :P

I think there's some other stuff too but that's all that's been confirmed.

Also, new Halo 3 MP maps coming out on 11th Dec for anyone who cares. Go over to the Bungie site to see a pic of each of them :)

psychonauts and fable were the other xbox classic games that didnt suck if memory serves.

and are the new maps on H3 free?

lol, no. The H3 maps aren't free. They cost 800 MS points. Lots of people have been bitching about that price. Personally, I don't care :P

Theres a new dashboard now :)

Honestly I don't understand the advantage of running a game from your HDD...specially when you NEED TO INSERT THE DISC anyway...-.-

It doesn't even run faster, the games were designed to run of discs so thats how they'll run best.

Also, Microsoft took a few ideas from Nintendo :P

...well THEY TOOK THE WHOLE IDEA!!! We have little Mii's or whatever on our 360s now...:S

What are they called? Three sixtyous?

Meh, anyone not to keen on this one, I find it harder to navigate and honestly, doesn't look as modern as Microsoft were perhaps aiming for.

the advantage of running from your HDD is that it doesnt sound like a boeing is taking off every time you play a game :P

i dont mind the new dash, the marketplace i find far easier to navigate...although on the whole it just stinks of cover flow from itunes.

The Avatars are shite. The selection of beards avaliable is very poor and that angered me deeply.

I've installed a few games to my HDD so it's not so loud when I'm playing at stupid o'clock in the morning. I also needed something to do with the 90GBs of space I had.

The best thing about the update was the Live parties
